Temporary Suspension of Production in Japan

Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. (the "Company") has decided to temporarily suspend operations at its Japanese factories for the motorcycle, RV, marine product and IM businesses in February and March. This is an emergency measure, in response to the global economic slowdown. Details of the planned suspension are shown in the table below.

The Company is currently negotiating with its labor union regarding the temporary manufacturing suspension and conditions of employment during the suspension period.
