(1964 / Production Model)

YA-6

This was the first model that adopted “Autolube,” Yamaha Motor's unique system to supply engine oil separately and eliminating bothersome mixing with the fuel. A 2-stroke, single-cylinder engine with rotary disc valve air intake inherited from the YA-5 was mounted on a pressed steel monocoque frame. With dustproof/waterproof 150mm front/rear drum brakes and a telescopic front fork, the YA-6 achieved both the great performance expected of a 125cc model and a high level of practicality.
