Technology SIGNAL PROCESSING
PHITUNE

Yamaha Corporation’s original process for acoustic tuning, utilizing “FIR* filter,”
the audio signal processing technology that is also used for professional audio devices.

For automotive audio with space characteristics different from home audio rooms, and other various special conditions, not only frequency amplitude characteristics, but also frequency phase characteristics can be fully controlled. This feature contributes to establish the base of sound creation by optimizing the sound stage.Furthermore, by utilizing it with general equalizer based on IIR filter, detailed tuning requirements are adequately fulfilled.

S3D:SPACIOUS SOUND

Yamaha Corporation has researched and developed “sound space creation”
technologies, such as “Cinema DSP” over long time.
Yamaha Corporation successfully installed this “sound space creation” process on its original DSP LSI, “AVP-3.”

“Spacious Sound 3D” is based on the technologies deriving from the technologies attained from concert hall designing experiences. This technology provides even more natural and beautiful surround space without limitation of listening point. Applying sound space creating technology based on virtual sound source, it provides spatial feeling in depth direction. In addition, surround effect optimized for human’s hearing characteristics is realized.

Multi-Band Dynamic Range Controller

Utilizing multi-band DRC,
sound environment under engine sound and wind noise is improved

Based on this concept, we aimed to create a live show experience where you are enveloped in music at an outdoor summer music festival and realize a sense of realism, with the theme of "creating an extraordinary sense of elation and freedom." We took an approach that was conscious of PA sound systems, which convey the joy and appeal of music in an open space.
Specifically, we achieved an optimal balance that allows you to feel the sound from low to high frequencies throughout your entire body. Experience the heart-stirring sound with the WaveRunner, with vocals that have a strong center presence, a beat that resonates physically, and an ambience that fills the space.
