  • Q1What motivated you to challenge the WTGP at the time?
My motivation is I want to make my parents and my family proud of me and I want to prove that an Indonesian technician is able to compete in the World Technician Grand Prix.
  • Q2What effort did you make to win the prize?
I put my efforts into earnest study of both theory and practice. For theory, I read YTA books and do the exercises. For practice, I do service work according to the SOP and the service manual. Also, I interact with customers often to increase my communication skills.
  • Q3Were there any effects in your job after you win the prize at the WTGP? Please introduce us the episode of the positive effects to your professional attitude and others.
My attitude is more confident when dealing with customers, even when handling customer complaints. And technically, I came to be able to solve the problem easily when troubleshooting.
  • Q4Let us know the activities or services your shop doing to go beyond the expectation of the customers if any.
We always give the best service to customers to make them satisfied through activities like providing a facility to enable customers to service their motorcycle with booking before, reminders for periodic maintenance (by SMS), and Servis Kunjung Yamaha (SKY).
  • Q5When do you find your job rewarding.
The greatest reward for me is when I can fulfill the wishes of customers and so encourage greater loyalty to our workshop and Yamaha. Because gaining loyal customers by our workshop is a reward for our performance as Yamaha technicians.
  • Q6What do you want to challenge or be passionately at work from here on?
After I came back from 2011 WTGP, my career rose from technician to service advisor. I think I have forged a closer bond with Yamaha, and I want to further develop the Yamaha workshop and make my team and me even better.
  • Q7Please give a message for the 2016 WTGP participants to cheer them up.
ITGP is the most prestigious event for a Yamaha Indonesia technician. The WTGP attracts the best of the thousands of technicians in Indonesia and from all around the world. Whoever wins this competition will certainly see their career rise. The ITGP award winners will have an incredible experience, and WTGP participants will go on to other even more challenging experiences.
