Yamaha Motor India Sales organized the India Technician Grand Prix 2012 and 2013.
<2012 contest> Participated technician: 850 technicians / Participated dealer: 375 dealers
<2013 contest> Participated technician: 726 technicians / Participated dealer: 375 dealers
2013 contest had 3 stages of competition for technicians until they can achieve National champion.
The 1st stage ( Regional level ) is written and practical examination which was conducted by field service team at each dealers.
From general selection has selected 100 technicians ( At each region 5 toppers selected from 20 participants) for next stage.
The 2nd stage is zonal/local contest conducted by Zonal training team supported by HO training team at Zonal YTC in around country and has selected 5 local champion at 4 areas for competition in national contest.
Then, NTGP final has conducted by Yamaha Motor India Sales Head Office from December 11th to 14th 2013.
Winners are Sunilkanta Singh Hemam of Pakhangba Motors (2012) and Mr. Meenakshi Sundaram Subramanian of Alagendran Autos, Madurai (2013)
