Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing was established on July 6, 1974 , and employs approximately 8,000 staff engaged in promotion and community development, research and development, customer community satisfaction, and in the service and motorsport divisions. The head office is located in Pulogadung, East Jakarta. YIMM has 6 Direct Distribution System (DDS) or flagship stores and more than 3,000 main dealers and other affiliated dealers.

  • Five Yamaha Indonesia motorcycles with MotoGP Livery striping were launched on June 2013 at the Jakarta Fair: Jupiter Z1, Jupiter MX, Xeon RC, Mio GT, New V-Ixion. These models have strong selling points and are sure to prove popular.

  • A variety of Yamaha products are displayed for sale at Yamaha's Jakarta Flagship Shop. It is also a place where consumers can buy Yamaha's four new CBU models – R1, R6, VMAX, TMAX.

  • The 2013 Yamaha Frontlines Grand Prix “Win Customer Heart Share With CCS Culture”, held on November 25. This event was designed to act as a Customer Community Satisfaction activity to connect Yamaha with our customers.

  • The first national jamboree of Yamaha Riders Federation Indonesia at the Sentul International Karting Circuit. This ride was part of the 10th Yamaha ASEAN Cup Race event. The jamboree was attended by 3,500 members, constituting a record number of bikers riding the circuit.

  • President Director of Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing, Mr Yoichiro Kojima, rode with media on a tour of Padang, West Sumatra.

  • Yamaha participated in the Japan Indonesia Expo with a Yamaha CBU DNA theme. The four new Yamaha CBU models - R1, R6, VMAX, TMAX - were displayed in the booth. The exhibit also provided Yamaha Safety Riding Science (YSRS) for Kids explanation for visitors.

  • Vice Governor of DKI Jakarta, Mr Basuki Tjahaja Purnama at the inauguration of one of three Rain Water Harvesting systems donated to schools in Jakarta by Yamaha. These systems assist the students to obtain clean water.

  • The 10th Yamaha ASEAN Cup Race at Sentul International Circuit brought life back to the circuit. With 35,000 spectators, the event drew the biggest crowds to the circuit since the 125 cc world class racing in 1997 when Valentino Rossi rode on the track.

  • Lunch of roasted rice mixed with fish and cassava vegetable. This is both a very delicious and very Indonesian food that is good for lunch meetings too. Try it, and you’ll want more.
