Yamaha Motor Australia is proud to be the power behind the new 37 foot Bribie Island Rescue boat named “Energex Bribie One”.
On August 7 2015, the new Volunteer Marine Rescue (VMR) vessel was ceremonially commissioned and dedicated in honour of the late Queensland Police Senior Sergeant - Perry James Irwin. The ceremony was held in the presence of over 150 delegates, public-officials, police and VMR personnel, at the VMR Bribie Island Base, Queensland Australia.
Powered by triple Yamaha F250 Outboards, the VMR Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) is capable of a top speed of over 40 knots, and can maintain a cruising speed of 32 knots for up to 460 nautical miles.
Joining the fleet of VMR Bribie Island’s rescue boats, “Energex Bribie One” can be found patrolling the coastline of South-East Queensland, Australia.
