Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM) provided transport for 1250 travelers in the annual Indonesian traditional homecoming, with this year’s theme as “Yamaha Mudik Kita” (Safe - Economical - Quiet). The travelers returned to their villages along three routes across the island of Java – through the center, to the south, and to the north. Starting from Jakarta at YIMM Head Office, they were ferried by buses on the Yogyakarta and Semarang routes.
To Yogyakarta, 700 travelers took either the center route Jakarta – Indramayu - Cirebon - Bumiayu - Purwokerto - Buntu - Gembong – Kebumen – Yogyakarta, or the south route Jakarta – Bandung – Tasikmalaya – Banjar – Gembong – Kebumen – Purworejo – Yogyakarta. Separately, 550 travelers took the north route to Semarang, passing through Jakarta - Indramayu - Cirebon - Tegal - Pekalongan - Kendal – Semarang.
The Executive Vice President of YIMM, Dyonisius Beti, officially farewelled the travelers on July 11 from YIMM Head Office. Also attending the event were East Jakarta Resort Police Chief Kombes Pol Umar Faroq SH,MH,MM, Head of Traffic Unit Kasatlantas Polda AKBP Gunawan, and East Jakarta Sector Police Chief Kompol Arnanto Hutahaean SE,SH,MH.
YIMM provided door prizes and vouchers at the event, and some facilities in the buses on the way to the destination cities.
