As part of the “For the Future of Vietnam Football” program, YMVN organized an Under-13 football festival for junior high school students across the country, running from March 2015. The main point here is that none of the players in the teams play at the professional level, which is quite a different scenario from the U11 and U13 National Football Tournament that YMVN sponsored for several years in the past.
By switching from professional tournaments to the opener football festival, YMVN hope to bring about more supportive environment for Vietnamese children where there is no cheating in the games and each player can be naturally educated about teamwork, honesty and respect.
Following qualifying rounds in five big cities in March and April, the final will be held in Hanoi in May and June and is expected to attract much attention from big media agencies and professional players, as well as from parents of all students generally.
