Yamaha Indonesia’s rider Fitriansyah Kete pulled off a double win in the 125 cc and 110 cc class of the 2014 Indoprix, the most prestigious underbone road race championship in Indonesia. The titles were confirmed in the last round at Balipat Circuit, Binuang Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan. Fitriansyah Kete of the Yamaha Tunggal Jaya team rode a Jupiter Z1 to set a new 125 cc class lap record for the Balipat circuit. Kete was in pole position for both the 125 cc and 110 cc classes, and managed to convert both into a double win on Sunday, November 23.
The success of Yamaha Indonesia and Fitriansyah Kete was supported by the Jupiter Z1 fuel-injected underbone motorcycle. This motorcycle also made history as an Indoprix double winner for two consecutive years: ridden by Sigit PD last year and Fitriansyah Kete this year.
In the last 7 years, Yamaha has achieved a double win six times (2008 – 2011, 2013, 2014). In 2012, Yamaha won only one title, the 110 cc class. Yamaha used the Jupiter Z carburetor model between 2008 and 2012, and Jupiter Z1 fuel-injected model in 2013 and 2014.
