October 29-November 2, 2014
PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM) participated in the biggest motorcycle show in Indonesia – Indonesia Motorcycle Show (IMOS), held from October 29 to November 2. This year YIMM introduced the Blue Core engine concept and the MT-09 and held a soft launch of the WR250R. Blue Core engines possess the three key strengths of a motorcycle engine: efficiency, power and reliability. It boasts a 50 % increase in fuel efficiency when compared with motorcycle engines that use carburetors. Yamaha will introduce the Blue Core concept to its motorcycles in the coming years. As the MT-09 and WR250R models will be launched next year in Indonesia, YIMM began taking orders from consumers with down payment for those two motorcycles at IMOS. YIMM also had a range of other popular models on display, such as: premium models (TMAX, TRICITY), the R-Series (R1, R6, R15, R25, R25 Concept ), the MT-09, WR250, the Byson, the modified Byson(by Deus Ex Machina), and the modified V-Ixion, and also had a MotoGP Zone featuring the YZR-M1 model ridden by Valentino Rossi. YIMM used a Hi-Tech concept for its booth at IMOS with a focus on Blue Core. Central to the exhibition booth were the blue colors and hi-tech content that could be seen projected on an interactive wall and on the display counter. A holographic projection of a greeting from a Sales Promotion Girl (SPG) helped to showcase the Blue Core concept to visitors and touch screen devices were utilized to explain Blue Core engine technology. YIMM also provided a feast of entertainment for visitors with performances from the band Noah and DJ Al Ghazali at the booth during the weekend.
