Indonesia Technician Grand Prix (ITGP) is a skill coaching program for Yamaha engineers in Indonesia. The event was first held in 2000, and 2014 marks the 14th year of the competition, with the theme “Yamaha R-Series model successful”. ITGP is a continuation of the "Regional Technician Contest" held in the 21 Yamaha Training Centers in Indonesia. More than 12,000 Yamaha technicians participated, and 24 technicians qualified for the final round on August 18-19. The finalists were tested in theory, measurement, customer service, periodical inspections and trouble shooting. The 14th ITGP winner was Asep Sumpena Suryaningrat from JG Motor Bandung Dealer, West Java, with 938 points, followed by Ahmad Kurniadi (SIP Kepanjen Malang Dealer, East Java) in second place with 878 points, and Rubiardi (Sumber Baru Motor Dealer Magelang, Central Java) in third place with 877 points. The 14th ITGP winner Asep Sumpena, and the 13th ITGP winner Irvan Kurniady from Alfa Scorpii Main Dealer Medan, will compete in this year’s World Technician Grand Prix in Japan.，
On the same day as the 14th ITGP, Yamaha also held a National SMK Contest (Vocational School). Hery Purnawan (SMK Palapa Semarang) was the winner with 930 points, followed by Dwi Restu Prayogi (SMK Bunda Satria Wangon Banyumas, Central Java) in second place with 900 points, and Rohma Doni (SMK Kartanegara Kediri, East Java) in third place with 860 points.
