This model was the successor to the mini trail model FT-1 that supported the off-road motorcycling boom at the grassroots level. Its 2-stroke single-cylinder 50cc engine newly adopted a 7-port Torque Induction system with its piston reed intake valve and was mounted on a full-fledged double cradle frame. Despite the compact chassis, it offered a smoother and more enjoyable ride.
