October 8, 2026 | YMI | CSR

As part of its commitment to community development through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), India Yamaha Motor (IYM) Pvt. Ltd. supported the construction of new classrooms and sanitation facilities in three Government schools located in the Mangalore and Nallur Blocks of Cuddalore District, Tamil Nadu. The facilities were inaugurated on 8th October 2026, marking another step in Yamaha’s efforts to create a positive impact through education-focused initiatives.

The project was implemented in partnership with the Namma School Namma Ooru Palli (NSNOP) Foundation, a flagship initiative of the Department of School Education, Government of Tamil Nadu. Designed to address critical infrastructure needs in rural schools, the initiative is expected to directly benefit around 600 students by providing a safer, more comfortable, and conducive learning environment.

The newly constructed classrooms will help reduce overcrowding and create better learning spaces, enabling students to engage more effectively in their educational journey. In addition, the sanitation facilities will improve hygiene, health, safety, and dignity for students, contributing to a more inclusive and student-friendly school environment.

By strengthening essential educational infrastructure, the project aims to enhance student attendance, improve learning outcomes, and support the overall well-being of children in the region. The initiative reflects Yamaha’s belief that quality infrastructure plays a vital role in creating better opportunities for future generations.

Guided by its CSR philosophy and commitment to sustainable community development, India Yamaha Motor continues to invest in initiatives that create lasting value and contribute to the growth and empowerment of local communities across India.
