iRidelife · Wilderness Ride Encounter
Starting with the Dunhuang journey back in 2021, Yamaha iRidelife has ridden 9,500 kilometers alongside riders. We’ve encountered wilderness and mountain ranges, morning dew and evening breezes, passion and freedom. In September 2026, iRidelife explored vast Hulunbuir. Sitting at the China-Russia-Mongolia border, it boasts endless steppes, winding rivers and forests, where nomadic culture meets wild scenery. Riders travelled the Morigele River, Enhe Russian Village, Hulun Lake and border route, visiting the Ewenki reindeer tribe to soak in the northern frontier’s culture and grassland views.
Day 1-2: Ride Begins
The romantic Hulunbuir ride started from Hailar. The riders pushed forward to the Morigele River, admiring its iconic winding waters under the open sky. Riding dozens of kilometers across grasslands by the Ergun Wetlands, the route shifted from smooth asphalt to rolling, bumpy unpaved trails. This diverse terrain tested riders and offered a fresh experience far from city commuting. Bathed in golden sunset light, riders reached Enhe, marking a serene end to the day’s wilderness adventure.
Day3:Challenges & Romance
At dawn in Enhe, riders left their motorcycles behind. Riding horses across vast meadows and birch groves, they soaked in nature’s peaceful charm. Refreshed, the convoy headed along the border route for Manzhouli. Following the winding Ergun River and border wetlands, riders chased the wind beside clear waters and grazing livestock, savouring the ultimate freedom of riding. As dusk came, they reached Manzhouli. Russian-style cuisine and vibrant ethnic dances lit up the border night.
Day 4: Riding along Hulun Lake
Rided toward Hulun Lake, Mother of the Grasslands. Wind whips past helmets, wheels splash through water, and seagulls glide above, unveiling the grand lake-and-steppe panorama. At the grassland camp, riders trade helmets and gear for vibrant Mongolian robes, merging motorcycling edge with ethnic culture. Wheels cross the wild; costumes connect with local heritage. In Hulunbuir, riding transcends roads — it is an immersive rendezvous with the grassland.
Day 5: Grassland Ballad & Final Ride
The rides deep into the grassland. Mongolian musician Aogen greets riders on horseback with traditional steppe rituals at his homestead. Parked from bikes, the group shoots arrows, plays football and feeds sheep, savouring the grassland’s freedom. An exclusive wilderness concert begins in the afternoon. Aogen performs live: haunting Modun Khoor, lively jaw harp, deep morin khuur, ethereal khoomei and lingering long song resonate across the steppe.
Dusk brings the riders back to Hailar. At the warm closing dinner, they receive custom certificates and revisit footage of their wind-kissed adventure.
Journeys have endings, passion has none. This grassland ride wraps up, yet the pursuit of wind continues. Until the next iRidelife gathering — engines roar for another ride!
