For more than a year, Yamaha Benelux dealer Post Workboats kept an exciting secret: they played a key role in the production of Christopher Nolan’s most recent film The Odyssey.

During filming in Italy, Post Workboats provided on-water transport, specialist film boat support and practical effects assistance for Nolan’s signature large-scale scenes. Their RIBs, powered by Yamaha outboards, operated in demanding conditions where reliability and precision were essential to keeping production on schedule.

This marks the third time in a decade that Post Workboats has supported a Nolan production, following their involvement in Dunkirk and Tenet. The combination of the dealer's reputation for flexibility and craftsmanship as well as Yamaha's reliability once again earned the dealer a place behind the scenes of one of Hollywood’s biggest film projects.

“On a film set like this, you have to be able to rely completely on both your crew and your equipment. There are days when hundreds of people are out on the water and the production is entirely dependent on the logistics. In Italy, we sailed for around 120 hours without a single breakdown. The reliability of the Yamaha outboard engines and Post Workboats’ RIBs gives us the confidence we need to perform under these conditions. For us, that’s also a key reason why we’re repeatedly asked to work on this type of production,” says Klaas Post, owner of the Post Workboats dealership.
