YMC Explores the TIES That Drive Success Across Australia and New Zealand
Representatives from Yamaha Motor Company (YMC) recently completed an extensive tour of Yamaha Motor Australia and Yamaha Motor New Zealand's Land Mobility operations, gaining first-hand exposure to local market conditions, dealer networks and customer experiences across Australasia. The visiting team included Akihiko Oyama, MC Division North America/Australia Group Leader, and Tatsuya Murata, MC Division North America/Australia Group Member.
The tour was designed to provide YMC with a deeper understanding of how the Australian and New Zealand businesses operate, and the challenges facing the local motorcycle market. Rather than focusing only on large dealerships, the itinerary included a broad cross-section of businesses, from exclusive Yamaha dealerships to major multi-brand operations.
Visits across New South Wales, Victoria, Western Australia and Auckland highlighted the diversity of Yamaha's dealer network and the unique characteristics of each market. The group also toured Yamaha warehouse facilities as well as Yamaha Racing Development, gaining valuable insights into the expertise, infrastructure and people that support the Yamaha brand.
Throughout the journey, one message remained clear: Yamaha's success is built on strong relationships. Whether engaging with Yamaha employees, dealer staff or customers, the visitors experienced the passion, commitment and professionalism that underpin the business across Australia and New Zealand. The experience brought Yamaha's Unique Style values to life, particularly TIES, demonstrating how meaningful connections between Yamaha, its dealer partners and customers create a stronger community and help drive long-term success.
