The Global Yamaha Way in Action in India - Thanks Card Campaign

June 30, 2026 | YMI | Event

As part of the Global Yamaha Way implementation initiatives, Yamaha Motor India Sales (YMIS) introduced an internal engagement programme aimed at embedding Yamaha’s shared values into everyday workplace interactions while fostering a culture of genuine appreciation. Going beyond conventional recognition, the initiative encourages employees to consciously observe how colleagues demonstrate the Global Yamaha Way shared values through their daily actions and behaviours.

With a simple title - Thank You, the campaign was launched at YMIS - Head Office (Chennai) during the March month. A distinctive feature of the initiative is the thoughtfully designed card, which integrates the core elements of the Global Yamaha Way along with space for a personal message. Each employee was encouraged to acknowledge colleagues – within their teams or across departments – whose actions reflected Yamaha’s values in practice.

The initiative deepens awareness and practical application of the Global Yamaha Way by prompting employees to pause, reflect, and appreciate behaviours that contribute to a positive, high performance work environment. By encouraging appreciation across departments, the campaign also helps break silos and reinforces a sense of collective ownership and teamwork.

The response was encouraging, with over 470 cards exchanged, reflecting strong engagement and positive intent. Collected through Drop Box, these cards were later shared with the recipients, giving them a moment of pride and motivation to continue their Global Yamaha Way value-driven approach. To sustain the momentum, a joint event was held on 30th June 2026, recognising departments that achieved outstanding participation and encouraging others to engage even more actively in future initiatives.

As the campaign expands to zonal offices and field teams, this initiative aims to make appreciation a natural and enduring part of Yamaha’s work culture – strengthening trust, engagement, and shared growth across the organization.
