Cross-Border Talent in Action
At Yamaha Motor Canada, sometimes the formula for success is pretty simple: C² (Chris × Connor).
Effective July 1, 2026, Canada is thrilled to welcome Connor Megan as Director, Marine. Bringing a decade of experience with YMUS, Connor adds deep marine expertise, a strategic mindset, and a collaborative leadership style that will help shape the next chapter of our marine business. Reporting to Chris Hawkins, General Manager, Sales Operations and Strategy, Connor will play a key role in driving growth across this category.
This latest cross-border move highlights the strength of our regional talent ecosystem and what’s possible when opportunity resides, regardless of geography.
More than a leadership transition, Connor’s move north reflects the power of cross-border collaboration in action. It’s a strong example of how our North American Talent teams – both in Canada and the U.S. – work together behind the scenes to ensure talent flows to where it can make the greatest impact. Their efforts continue to reinforce one of Yamaha’s biggest advantages as a global organization: the ability to share talent, perspectives, and momentum across markets.
Chris Hawkins and Connor Megan are two leaders representing two countries, united by one shared mission. Both are known to be highly competitive sports fans, and while Canada versus USA might be a great storyline on the ice or pitch… in business, this partnership is proof that we’re better together and we win together.
In a time when global headlines often focus on differences, stories like this highlight what sets us apart: a commitment to collaboration that goes beyond borders.
Canada is excited about what lies ahead and what C² will deliver next.
