YMCA Receives Employer Impact Award
Yamaha Motor Canada (YMCA) is honoured to receive the University of Waterloo’s Employer Impact Award for Student Experience. YMCA’s co-op student (intern) program combines structured support, meaningful work, and strong leadership engagement to create a high-impact experience for students. From day-one onboarding with the president to final reflection presentations, students follow a clear roadmap that builds confidence and capability.
Throughout their term, students are fully integrated into teams and trusted with real responsibilities, accelerating both their technical and professional growth. This is supported by mentorship, peer collaboration, and access to development opportunities, leadership events, and career resources.
By the end of their placement, interns grow into confident contributors with tangible achievements, demonstrating the lasting impact of a program designed to empower and prepare future talent.
