Yamaha Racing Brasil rider Aymon Bocanegra reached the podium twice at the opening round of the Yamaha R3 BLU CRU World Championship, held from May 1st to May 3rd in Hungary. The young rider, who holds dual citizenship (Peruvian and Brazilian) and chose to race under the Brazilian colors, won Race 1 and finished third in Race 2. With these two podium finishes, the rider ended the round in second place overall.

Aymon had already shown his willingness to win in the Superpole on Friday (May 1st), when he achieved a P2 and a place in the front row in his debut. In Race 1 (May 2nd), the 15-year-old rider performed even better. With talent and great skill, Aymon delivered an impeccable race, made a strong final lap and achieved his first victory of the season.

On Sunday (May 3rd), Aymon returned to the track determined to repeat his performance. Race 2 was even more competitive and after bravely battling his opponents, he finished the race in third position.

"This weekend allowed me to compare my level for the season. In the first race, despite almost two crashes, I managed to take first place. In the second race, I thought more about the championship than the race itself and managed to finish third. This is just the beginning; I think I have the level to fight for the championship," said Aymon Bocanegra.

Leonardo Marques and Heitor Ourinho, who debuted in the competition, also showed that they will fight hard for every point. Leo started from P4, but ended up having difficulties and did not finish the races.

Heitor started further back, in P15, but accelerated and finished his first international race in P10 and his second race in P11, earning his first points in the competition.

"We finished the first stage here in Hungary and I'm very happy with my result. I finished Race 1 in 10th and Race 2 in 10th as well, but unfortunately, I made a mistake, suffered a penalty and finished 11th. But I'm happy, I scored important points for the championship, I'm in 10th place and in the next stage, in Aragón, I'm going to work hard and everything will be alright," said Heitor Ourinho.

With the weekend's results, in addition to Aymon Bocanegra's second place with 41 points, Heitor Ourinho is in 10th position with 11 points. The next challenge for the Brazilians in the Yamaha R3 BLU CRU World Championship is scheduled to take place from May 29th to 31st at the MotorLand Aragón circuit in Spain.
