MX101 adds Kaylie Kayer to 2026 roster
Kaylie Kayer has joined the MX101 Race Team for the 2026 season, adding another rising contender to their roster.
“We’re excited to see Kaylie full time on blue and see if we can help be the difference from runner-up to Champion this summer,” said MX101 team owner Kevin Tyler.
Kayer first drew the team’s attention during the 2023 pre-season after beginning training in Kamloops, B.C., with coach Shawn Maffenbeier. Maffenbeier said Kayer’s drive and determination stood out and he believed she had the potential to be a WMX Champion.
The team continued to follow her progress, providing guidance and support during last summer’s campaign. Kayer posted multiple podium finishes in 2025 and closed the season with a sweep at the final round to claim her first overall victory.
As a multi-discipline athlete Kayer also expressed interest in Ontario’s largest off-road race, where she tackled the woods on a Yamaha WR250F as a teaser last fall.
“I’m excited for the opportunity to join the BLU CRU and try to add to the red-plate summer chase under the tent—with the goal of a national championship,” Kayer said.
