Brazilian Yamaha Rider Bernardo Tibúrcio climbs to third overall in the European Motocross Championship
Bernardo Tibúrcio continues his strong run in the 2026 European Motocross Championship, competing in the EMX250 class. The Brazilian delivered another consistent weekend in Round 2, held in Frauenfeld, Switzerland, and capitalized on his progress to move up to third overall in the championship standings.
Bê Tibúrcio showed solid consistency across both motos. On Saturday (March 28th), the Yamaha 115 M78 rider secured a strong fifth-place finish in Race 1, maintaining a competitive pace against a highly stacked field. In Race 2 on Sunday (March 29th), he once again delivered a strong performance, crossing the line in fourth place and reinforcing his position among the front-runners in the class.
The combination of results earned him valuable championship points, allowing him to climb the standings and break into the Top 3 overall. The performance confirms Tibúrcio’s momentum, as he continues to build consistent results since the season opener and establishes himself as one of the standout names of the new generation in European motocross.
“In Race 1 I felt good all day, the qualifying sessions were better, and I finished fifth, which gave me a good gate pick for the race. I got a solid start, the beginning was a bit tough, but from mid-race to the end I found my flow and rode well to finish fifth. Today (Sunday) the weather changed, it rained more, and the track got really muddy, but it was still a good race. I didn’t get the best start, but I made some good passes and finished fourth. It was very good — now it’s about continuing the preparation, as we have two weeks until the next round”, he said.
With confidence on the rise and clear progression each round, the Brazilian is already focused on the next challenge of the season. Round 3 of the European Championship will take place in Riola Sardo, Italy, on April 12, where Tibúrcio will aim to maintain his competitive pace and stay in the fight for the top positions in the championship.
