IYM Extends Essential Support to Government Healthcare and Child Welfare Institutions
India Yamaha Motor (IYM) has extended its support by donating essential medical equipment to the Government District Combined Hospital and a fully air conditioned bus to the Government Girls Home, both located near IYM’s Surajpur Factory in Uttar Pradesh. These initiatives reflect company’s ongoing commitment to improving access to quality public healthcare and enhancing the safety and well being of underprivileged communities.
The Government District Combined Hospital serves patients from nearby regions and is a key healthcare provider for economically weaker sections of society. On 9th March 2026, several medical equipment units were formally handed over to the hospital, which included deep freezers for the blood bank and advanced physiotherapy equipment such as low frequency magnetic field therapy units, vacuum therapy systems, cluster and scanning applicators, and infrared therapy device. These resources will significantly enhance treatment capabilities and patient care, benefiting nearly 2.4 million people.
Additionally, the initiative of donating a fully air‑conditioned bus supports safe, secure, and reliable transportation for the residents of the Government Girls Home. The facility operates as a residential institution providing education, protection, care, and rehabilitation for girls in need. The bus was officially handed over to the authorities on 27th February 2026 and will facilitate travel for educational, medical, and counselling purposes.
Guided by its corporate philosophy, IYM’s sustainability efforts focus on four pillars – Health, Education, Environment, and Road Safety – reinforcing Yamaha’s commitment to creating meaningful and lasting community impact.
