On January 20, 2026, Yamaha Motor Canada’s Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Customer Experience, JF Rioux, was inducted into the NMMA Canada (National Marine Manufacturers Association Canada) Hall of Fame during a ceremony attended by nearly 200 colleagues, friends and family.
“JF’s career reflects the very best of our industry, built on technical excellence, leadership, and a genuine passion for boating,” said Marie-France MacKinnon, Executive Director of NMMA Canada. “His contributions over the past 30 years, including his 10-year service on the NMMA Canada Board of Directors and as board chair, have helped advance our industry and support the continued growth of recreational boating across Canada.”
With a career spanning more than 30 years, reflecting a deep commitment to the industry, JF joined Yamaha Motor Canada in 1995 after beginning as a technician at a Yamaha dealership in Rimouski, Quebec. He progressed through technical support, factory liaison, and marine product management roles, earning recognition for his expertise and collaborative leadership style.
JF’s broad operational background ultimately led to overseeing Yamaha’s marine sales business across Canada, working closely with global affiliates to support dealers and customers nationwide. In 2022, he assumed his current senior leadership role, leading the business across all product lines and overseeing sales, marketing, and aftersales operations.
Established in 1988, the NMMA Canada Hall of Fame is the association’s highest honour, recognizing individuals whose contributions have significantly advanced the Canadian marine industry through leadership, innovation, and excellence.
