India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. inaugurated 7th batch of trainees for the Yamaha Motor NTTF Training Centre (YNTC) at its Chennai Plant on 8th October 2025, marking another milestone in Yamaha’s mission to nurture technically skilled and industry-ready youth.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by Mr. Wataru Yamazaki, Manufacturing Director – India Yamaha Motor, along with senior management members and Ms. Chitra A.B., Vice President – NTTF i.e., Nettur Technical Training Foundation – a premier organization focussed on high-quality education and skill development. Together, they warmly welcomed 18 new trainees, selected through a rigorous process involving written tests and interviews.

The event commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolizing knowledge and new beginnings, followed by motivational speeches by the management, encouraging trainees to stay curious, disciplined, and committed to excellence throughout their learning journey.

Adding to the day’s significance, trainees from the previous batch showcased their innovative projects and prototypes, highlighting the skills and creativity nurtured through the YNTC program. Parents of the new trainees were also invited, making the event more meaningful and celebratory. The ceremony concluded with a refreshment session, providing an opportunity for interaction between trainees, parents, and the management team.

Established in 2017 under the Japan-India Institute for Manufacturing (JIM) initiative - significant collaboration between the governments of Japan and India, the YNTC program offers a four-year curriculum blending classroom education with hands-on industrial training. Conducted in collaboration with NTTF, it continues to embody Japanese craftsmanship and Monozukuri principles while supporting Skill India and Make in India initiatives.
