Yamaha Motor Canada Hosts Innovation Inspired Town Hall
On September 11, 2025, Yamaha Motor Canada gathered at the MaRS Discovery District in downtown Toronto for an inspiring Town Hall that put innovation – especially small “i” innovation – front and centre.
From embracing S4Hana and new digital tools to reorganizing our team to bring P&A and Units together, we are taking bold steps to streamline how we work, strengthen collaboration, and reinforce our core values of #AccelerateTogether through the current mid-term plan.
The day was filled with fresh perspectives, interactive experiences, and forward-looking energy. A highlight was the VR experience from VRPlayin, giving us a chance to step outside our usual perspective and see challenges in new ways.
We also welcomed a lineup of speakers, who brought global, regional, and cross-functional voices to the conversation:
• Sam Calautti, Yamaha Motor Finance Corporation – Canada, showed how his operations team has innovated beyond products to support our customers.
• Ian Spence, MaRS, emphasized the power of innovation ecosystems and collaboration.
• Kei Onishi, Yamaha Motor Ventures, shared future trends shaping the industry.
• Vince Cifani and team, Joyride, highlighted how partnerships unlock new opportunities.
• Sebabrata Das, Yamaha Motor Canada, shared stories to demonstrate how incremental improvements from small “i” innovation fuel lasting change.
These voices reminded us that innovation isn’t always about sweeping transformation. It’s about the small, everyday improvements that make us stronger and more connected.
Yamaha Motor Canada also took the opportunity to recognize and celebrate some outstanding team members. Johnny Andal and Yamini Bhaskar were recognized as the winners of the Accelerate Together Recognition Program, exemplifying the values that drive Yamaha forward.
As we look ahead, Yamaha Motor Canada is embracing the spirit of curiosity, creativity, and courage to guide us as we continue to drive innovation across everything we do. Here’s to accelerating together as 1 team!
