Yamaha Philippines Racing Team:
Fueled to Change the Race!
Yamaha Philippines Racing Team is set to change the race and create champions with its roster for the 2025 season. This year is set to be the most thrilling, ambitious, and game-changing yet with the team locked in for the Asia Road Racing Championship, and the continuous cultivation of future champions in the BLU CRU Program.
True to its mission of nurturing young riders, YMPH will continue to support Mytchell Ngo, Zain Doblada, and Moy Reyes for the Yamaha R3 BLU CRU Asia-Pacific Championship. While in the ARRC scene, the team officially revealed the newest racer. Front lining the roster is "The Wonderboy" McKinley Kyle Paz for SS600 category and “The Rocketboy” April King Mascardo for UB150. Though April is set to race again after his race injury last season, his partner Gian Carlo Mauricio is off onto another path, pursuing a new challenge to further his academic career. As his chapter ends, it opens an opportunity for others to be discovered.
Keenly selecting who would complete the lineup, YMPH created the “Yamaha Challenge Cup” where 10 aspiring racers underwent a series of physical and mental evaluations. Kyle and April played a key role in the tryouts, analyzing the aspirants' skills to ensure they complemented the team's dynamic. Throughout the process, they demonstrated remarkable determination, but there’s only one who truly stands out. The 25-year-old young lad EJ Sobretodo secured his spot to race along with April under the UB150 Category.
The pursuit of greatness goes beyond merely crossing the finish line; it’s about redefining what’s possible on the racetrack. YMPH is dedicated to transforming the racing landscape and building a legacy of excellence in Filipino motorsport. As the 2025 season kicks off, the team is poised to excel in every aspect to change the race.
