Yamaha Brazil Opens
A New Technological Center
The Yamaha Group, a pioneer in the manufacture of motorcycles in Brazil, inaugurated on May 8th, a modern Technological Center, in the city of Jandira (SP), replacing the old headquarters, located in Guarulhos (SP). This is the company's only technological center in all Latin America. The unit aims to improve, develop and certify all motorcycle models that the company sells in the country, whether manufactured in Manaus (AM) or imported, and those destined for the export market.
This way, it is possible to guarantee that the products meet all current emissions and vehicle safety standards and regulations, in addition to the levels of excellence that Yamaha is so proud of and that are recognized by consumers.
To carry out these checks, the unit has dynamometers, a piloting simulation robot, a pollutant gas collection and analysis system, a SHED chamber for measuring evaporative gases, systems for measuring efforts, vibration and structural analysis. Another highlight of the Yamaha Technological Center is the quality laboratories, for metallographic and polymeric materials and chemistry for analyzing fuels and lubricants.
The Jandira Unit is also the distribution center for Yamaha spare parts as it has a privileged location, close to the main highways in the State of São Paulo and Brazil, the ideal place to send motorcycle components to dealerships from all over the country.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the President of Yamaha Motor do Brazil, Mr. Mauro Iwamura, and local authorities, the Mayor of the city of Jandira, Mr. Henri Hajime Sato and the Vice-Governor of the State of São Paulo, Mr. Felicio Ramuth.
