YMVN Celebrates 20th Anniversary in Hanoi
Yamaha Motor Vietnam (YMVN) held a ceremony in Hanoi on April 19, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of. Mr. Yoshihiro Hidaka, President of YMC, and about 150 stakeholders in Vietnam attended the ceremony.
Historic motorcycle models and photos of events and activities were displayed at the event venue to showcase the highlights of YMVN during the past two decades. In the ceremony, YMVN announced its vision for CSR activities, brand power, and further business development in years to come.
Vietnam is a unique market with female bike users accounting for one half of demand. YMVN has sold approximately 9 million motorcycles (as of 2017) since its establishment in 1998 and currently has about 5,300 employees.
“The mission of YMVN goes beyond manufacturing and sales of motorcycles” said Mr. Toshiya Kawano, General Director of YMVN. “We also provide traffic safety education and donate helmets to create an environment and culture where motorcycles are enjoyed safely. YMVN will continue to offer values that exceed customers’ expectations and contribute to people and communities in Vietnam”.
