OMDO Hosts the First Academy
for the Next-generation of Managers
OMDO hosted the Academy for the Next-generation OMDO Dealership Managers for the adult children of overseas dealership owners.
During the first round of the Academy, 2 participants joined from dealerships in India and the Middle East. The future successors attended a variety of lectures and workshops where they learned about Yamaha’s history and brand as well as the roles of dealerships and Yamaha. They also received training on PSI management and business management from guest lecturers to learn about actual business operations. The managers-to-be also went to see a MotoGP event and the Tokyo Motor Show, which helped them gain a deeper understanding of Yamaha’s branding efforts.
The participants developed a business plan in the Academy, and on the last day, with their parent/CEO in attendance, gave a presentation of their plans． Asked about their hopes for the future after the presentation, the future successors gave a smile filled with confidence and told us that they wanted to “Make their customers happy!” and “Make Yamaha the best motorcycle brand in their country”.
