YMT Hosts its 1st MiS Workshop
On September 7th and 8th, YMT held its very first workshop in the “Marketing in Sales (MiS)” activities, a series of activities targeted at the 3S (Sales, Service and Spare parts) -related managers. The MiS activities began in full swing this year to promote a better understanding of Yamaha’s core values and to share and maximize Yamaha’s marketing knowhow.
Twenty-nine YMT managers, who are involved in 3S, participated in the workshop. The workshop was led by 6 consultants from YMC Sales Planning and from the consulting firm GLOBIS, who attended as a coach/mentor.
On Day 1, a Johnson-and-Johnson case study was used to gain a deeper understanding and learn the importance of Yamaha Marketing’s shared values. Then, participants discussed ways to improve the cross-organizational understanding of the shared values within YMT. Day 2 opened with a role-playing session, practicing scenarios on how to coach staff members in Yamaha’s shared values. In the afternoon, participants shared their marketing knowhow and ideas on how to best utilize the knowhow, followed by a teach-and-learn session based on two successful cases.
It was a wonderful opportunity for YMT managers to gain a deeper understanding of the “Global YAMAHA Way” and learn how to share the knowledge. YMT will continue to enhance the 3S team activities in Taiwan by maximizing Yamaha’s DNA and marketing knowhow.
