Yamaha’s Very First Official Event in Myanmar
Yamaha’s first official event in Myanmar was held on June 3 and 4 at Mingalar Mandalay.
The event was attended by about 50 guests, including Mr. Kuramoto, President of a local partner, Eight Cloud Public Co., Ltd., and representatives of dealerships and media. The event featured made-in-India sport models currently available for sale, such as the FZN150 and the YZF-R15. In addition, the Vietnam-made models JANUS and EXCITER, soon available in the Myanmar market, were also exhibited. Over 1,000 visitors came to the event, making it an exciting opportunity to appeal to consumers with Yamaha’s brand value.
Myanmar is a large market with an annual demand exceeding 1 million motorcycles, but the market is currently dominated by low-price products made in China and Japanese brands sold by parallel importers.
Last year Yamaha recorded sales of 750 motorcycles through proper channels. This year, we will increase our marketing efforts by consolidating sales and after-sale services, aiming to achieve an annual sale of 3,000 motorcycles.
