April 4, 2017 | YMPH

Yamaha Motor Philippines, Inc. (YMPH) won the Outstanding Community Project Award from the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) at the recently held 22nd Anniversary and Investors’ Recognition Night held at the World Trade Center on April 4, 2017. The event was attended by PEZA locators and government officials to recognize and honor the achievements of outstanding PEZA locator companies for their immense contribution to the country’s development, in terms of export, employment, community projects and preservation of the environment.

PEZA Outstanding Community Projects Award is given to a PEZA locator or developer that has strengthened its relationship with the community through meaningful corporate social responsibility(CSR) projects like educational programs (such as scholarship programs, skills building, training, and school or classroom building); relief operations or donations during natural calamities; free medical and dental services; environmental programs (such as tree planting, clean-up missions, or recycling activities); or other similar pro-community projects (such as food programs, gift giving, and blood drives).

From 2011 onwards, YMPH’s PR Task Force activities have helped approximately 5,000 families through its various projects in education, disaster relief and recovery, nutrition, and even in environmental protection.
