Japan International Boat Show 2017, the biggest boat show in Japan, was held
Japan International Boat Show 2017, which is the biggest boat show in Japan, was held at the two venues of PACIFICO Yokohama and Yokohama Bayside Marina in Kanagawa Prefecture on March 2 to 5.
The number of visitors, which was 52,252 for this year's event, has been increasing for the last four consecutive years, indicating the boom in the Japanese marine market.
Yamaha received good reviews for its exhibits, which were 15 boats including the DFR33 and CONCEPT33 units that were presented for a reference purpose, as well as six Wave Runners including MJ-GP1800 and MJ-EX Deluxe and four new outboard motors, the F2B, F25G, F90C and F125A (VMAX). In addition, we made concerted efforts to promote Yamaha's related services, such as Yamaha Marine Club Sea-Style, Yamaha Boat License School and a Virtual Reality Headsets to let visitors experience the feeling of riding a boat on the spot, which attracted much attention from attendees.
We made a good start for the coming main season of marine sports with the boat show. While boat shows will be held in various places from now on, we will make concerted efforts to make the marine industry thrive.
