Big Turnout at 1st RoboDEX: Robot Development & Application EXPO at Tokyo Big Sight!
"RoboDEX: Robot Development & Application EXPO" opened on January 18 through 20 at Tokyo Big Sight.
This year's RoboDEX ? held for the very first time ? was a big success, counting 16,304 visitors over the 3-day event. The site was filled with numerous exhibits displaying service robots, robot development components, drones, etc. and large audiences were garnered by every exhibit booth.
Yamaha exhibited the Advanced Robotics Automation Platform, an integrated control robot system which was released last year. The automated facility exhibit introduced visitors to a platform which optimizes automated manufacturing lines. The feature which drew the most attention was the integrated control of all robots; many visitors asked for advice on automation and inquired about actual implementation examples. A new linear conveyor module "LCM-X" also drew a lot of attention, and many visitors voiced their wish to implement the module right away. The number of inquiries during the 3 days exceeded our target, and the expo was a tremendous success for Yamaha as well as for the event itself.
