New Product Launch Event Held in Guangzhou
On September 26, 2016, Shanghai Yamaha Jianshe Motor Marketing (YMSM), in the presence of around 300 participants from the media and dealers, announced two new product models equipped with the Blue Core engine for the first time as Chinese models.
Both the "JOGi" and "CYGNUS-GT" models announced on this occasion feature the three advantages offered by Blue Core technology; low fuel consumption, dynamic performance and convenience, targeting the generations born in the 1980s and 1990s.
At the event site, new awareness-improvement methods were adopted as a trial only for China, with its high smartphone penetration rate; broadcasting an SNS short film on the "JOGi", and on-the-spot broadcasting via an app by five female personalities who are popular on the Internet.
In addition, the technological innovativeness of Blue Core was visually demonstrated using a 3D hologram. After the event, a product information session for dealers was also held, to promote their understanding.
Both the models were evaluated highly, including the dealers' increased enthusiasm for selling them, as well as their high expectations for future model development.
