Colombian Company Incolmotos Commemorates Its 40th Anniversary
Incolmotos Yamaha commemorated the 40th anniversary of the company's founding on June 7, 2016, with Yamaha Motor President Hiroyuki Yanagi and Managing Executive Officer and Director Nobuya Hideshima also in attendance. Nearly 1,200 people took part in the event, including Incolmotos President and Director Francisco J. Sierra and his wife, Incolmotos employees, dealers, and suppliers, and persons from distributors throughout Central and South America, celebrating the establishment of a company that has created and built upon the position of leadership that the Yamaha brand enjoys in Central and South America.
Incolmotos has sold more than 1.5 million motorcycles since the start of production of the DT175 in 1975, and while rolling out operations with a thorough commitment to "customer service with a human touch" as its motto, the company has secured the top market share of any Japanese-affiliated company.
Since 1989, Incolmotos has also dealt in products from Yamaha Corporation, and this celebration reflected "Two Yamahas, One Passion" in every aspect. In keeping with this message, Yamaha Corporation presented Incolmotos with a concept model whose design features a piano motif. Along with this, the event included the launch of the new MT-03 and T115FI, which have earned high acclaim from dealers.
