Presentations by PM (preventive maintenance) circles are held annually, with the goal being to increasing employee awareness regarding kaizen activities in every area of the Manufacturing Center. The presentations accomplish this by offering an opportunity for area leaders and many others to report on and evaluate their efforts.

This year, nine circles representing different areas presented kaizen case studies, with the best three selected for awards.

The overall winner was the Nakaze Manufacturing Division, which tackled the task of quantifying intuition and skill. The Iwata Manufacturing Division took second place for kaizen efforts in processes experiencing chronic defects, with the Chassis & Tank Manufacturing Division earning third for boosting efficiency with respect to equipment loss in paint worksites.
