nano tech 2016 Award for Yamaha Motor

January 27-29, 2016 | YMC

Yamaha Motor received an award at this year’s nano tech 2016 event for the nano film coating technology it developed.

The "nano tech2016 (International Nanotechnology Exhibition & Conference)" was held at the Tokyo Big Sight through Jan. 27 ? 29. This wide-ranging event showcased fusion across many different fields through nano technology. Among the exhibits from a total of 586 companies and organizations from 23 countries and regions was Yamaha Motor's first exhibition at this event. The Company's booth featured its nano film coating, used in applications such as the exhaust pipe of the MT-09. After a grueling three hours of heated debate from the view-points of innovation, originality, and marketability, the grand prize "The Initiative Award" was awarded to Yamaha Motor from among 12 other nominees. The main reasons for receiving this award were for the "development of a unique surface treatment technology to improve corrosion resistance and heat resistance in motorcycles and for the fact that the company is working to widely spread the technology applied to the company's products". This award further highlights the unique style of Yamaha.
