Born November 1971. In 1997, joined the Yamaha Team and rode in the 500cc class with teammate Luca Cadalora, but cancelled his contract with the organizing team halfway through the season and withdrew from the 8th race. Ranking stalled at 23rd. Having won Superbike Championship title in Australia in 1993 and 1994, in 1995 achieved a ranking of 2nd in the World Superbike series. In 1996, took the WSB series title (Ducati). Then, in 1997, rode a Yamaha in the 500cc class, but returned to superbike racing the following year, riding Ducati, Aprilia and Suzuki machines. In 2005, won his second title (Suzuki). In 2007 and 2008 rode Yamaha machines in the WSB as a teammate of Noriyuki Haga, and in 2008 was ranked 2nd.
