V6 4.2-liter 300-225ps

The next-generation four stroke outboard motors designed for powerful performance, light weight and compactness

MENU
The Next-generationCutting edge technologies provide
high output and compactness with reliability.

The V6 4.2-liter series provide class-leading performance, lightness and compactness. Various Yamaha Motor technologies and systems are incorporated to give good fuel economy, convenience, and environmental friendliness.

Power & Performance, Reliability

24-valve DOHC engine

The newly developed DOHC power unit has a 4,169cm3 displacement and a 60ー V-6 cylinder format and 24 valves. It pumps out exceptional power and speed performance with outstanding fuel economy, plus the famous Yamaha reliability.

ECM: Engine control module

The ECM constantly controls fuel injection volume, injection timing and ignition timing to improve combustion efficiency in all types of use conditions.

Plasma-fused sleeveless cylinder

These are the first outboards in the world to feature sleeveless cylinders employ plasma fusion technology. This produces cylinders that are lighter, more heat-resistant, abrasion-resistant and recyclable.

Convenience

Built-in Digital Electric Steering (DES) for F300F

The same smooth, fast, and precise Digital Electric Steering that was introduced on the F425A is now built-in to F300F. The result is significantly easier rigging and an uncluttered bilge - with no steering pumps, hoses, hydraulic lines or connections, no bleeding procedure, less complexity and straightforward serviceability. Both use the latest in boat steering technology to provide smooth, fast steering and, unlike some conventional steering systems, draw battery amperage only when actively in use.

Bolt-on Digital Electric Steering (DES) for F300G/F250P

The F300G / F250P can be equipped with the new bolt-on Helm Master™ EX Digital Electric Steering as well. The result is significantly easier rigging and an uncluttered bilge – with no steering pumps, hoses, hydraulic lines or connections, no bleeding procedure, less complexity and straightforward serviceability. Use the latest in boat steering technology to provide smooth, fast steering.

70-ampere high output alternator

The electric system utilizes the highest 70-ampere output alternator in its class, a handy feature which can help power today's wide array of onboard electronic devices.

Maneuverability

Thrust Enhancing Reverse Exhaust (TERE)

Thrust Enhancing Reverse Exhaust (TERE) keeps exhaust bubbles above the anti-ventilation plate and out of the propeller below 2500 r/min when in reverse. This means the prop bites only clean water, resulting in outstanding reverse thrust and control to back down on fish. It’s especially effective when combined with the fast precision of Digital Electric Steering and the Helm Master™ EX Full Maneuverability joystick. Very helpful around docks and confined spaces.

Side Exhaust Outlet Cover

The new side exhaust outlet cover to help prevent inadvertent paint discoloration without sacrificing performance.

Advanced

TotalTilt™ Function

TotalTilt™ function allows complete tilt up (except when the tilt limit is set) from any position with a simple double-push of the “UP” trim/tilt button, or full tilt down (until trim ram contact) by the same double push of the “DOWN” trim/tilt button. For safety, a warning horn will sound just before and during these operations. Movement and the horn can be stopped anywhere in between by pressing the tilt button again. No more holding the trim button makes for effortless trailering and convenience when complete up or down tilt is desired. There’s also a new built-in integrated tilt limiter to help prevent inadvertent damage.

Options

Smooth shift dampener system

Yamaha's exclusive new smooth shift dampener system greatly reduces noise commonly associated with shifting gears. It will be available with renewed Saltwater Series II propellers.

Digital network gauge

The digital gauge offers a lot of information to the operator to help provide effective and easy operation. The LCD screen can display speed, engine speed, trim position, cooling water temperature and pressure, oil pressure, fuel flow, battery voltage, shift position, clock, engine synchronization, warning, diagnosis and so on.
