Waterbus [Himiko]
The futuristic waterbus started running between Asakusa and Odaiba in Tokyo on March 26, 2004. Its form is designed just like a spaceship. Mr. Leiji Matsumoto, the author of "Spaceship Yamato," "Galaxy Express 999," "Captain Harlock," and many other works, created the epoch-making futuristic waterbus "Himiko."
Framework
We determine the shape of both the plywood frame and surfacing materials, cut the wood on a CNC processor, and put the base shape wooden framework together.
Rough process
After cutting the base shape on a CNC processor and putting the framework together, we spray on urethane foam.
Finishing process
Then, we use the Sprayputty process.
After the Sprayputty has hardened, we do the finishing by running it through a CNC processing machine again.
Final check
Once the plug (male mold) CNC finishing process is complete, a veteran engineer performs a very detailed manual check and makes the final adjustments.
