Yamaha R3 bLU cRU Asia-Pacific Championship Entries Now Being Accepted

February 8, 2024—Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. and Thai Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. are now accepting applications for riders who wish to compete in the "Yamaha R3 bLU cRU Asia-Pacific Championship” (hereafter R3 APC), which has been newly established to discover and support talented young riders in the Asia-Pacific region.


This series is for young riders between the ages of 12 and 18, with six rounds held per season in the Asia-Pacific region. The title-winning rider will receive support to compete in the Yamaha R3 bLU cRU FIM World Cup, which is held in conjunction with the Superbike World Championship, for two years from the following season, providing an opportunity to step up to the next stage.



  • Application Period: February 8, 2024 - February 19, 2024, 9:00 a.m. (JST)
  • Screening and Announcement: Screening will be based on the information provided in the application form. Candidates who are selected will be notified on March 1, 2024.

01-02 April Pre-season Practice (Chang International Circuit, Thailand)
04-06 April Rd.1 (Chang International Circuit, Thailand)
03-05 May Rd.2 (Thailand Circuit, Thailand)
04-06 July Rd.3 (Chang International Circuit, Thailand)
02-04 August Rd.4 (Sugo International Road Racing Course, Japan)
06-08 September Rd.5 (Chang International Circuit, Thailand)
08-10 November Rd.6 (Currently planning a round outside Thailand)


Participants must be between the ages of 12 and 18 (born between October 2006 and December 2011).

• Some applicants may be excluded based on their previous experience and achievements.




Number of openings: 21




Eligible Countries and Regions:

Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia, Singapore, Philippines, Brunei, Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, China, Taiwan, India, South Korea, Japan, Australia and New Zealand.




Participation fee: USD 10,000


Included in the participation fee:

• Racing Suit, gloves, boots, chest protector, and back protector (can be kept after the season ends)

• Race-ready Yamaha R3 bike to be used during the season (Service, Tires, Fuel included)
*If the motorcycle is damaged due to a crash or other reason, the rider is responsible for the cost of repairs.

• Riding and Technical Coaching for Riders

• Paddock Passes

• Riders’ Lunch

• Paddock Uniforms (Polo Shirt, T-shirt)


Rider-paid items:

• FIM NMFP License (National Meeting with Foreign Participants)

• Start Permissions

• Rider Insurance

• One Parent/Caretaker/Guardian for Support

• Helmet (following the R3 bLU cRU Asia-Pacific regulation)

• Flights/Transportation and Accommodation
