Announcement of Organizational Reforms and Personnel Changes

Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. announces the following organizational and personnel changes, effective July 15, 2012.

Organizational changes

 

[Measure aimed at expanding business scale]
1. Overseas Boat Division newly established
The Overseas Project Group of the Marine Business Operations' Boat Business Unit will be raised a level and reorganized as the new Overseas Boat Division in order to promote rapid growth of overseas business.

 

 

[Measures aimed at augmenting corporate strength]
2. Environment, Facilities & Utility Division newly established
The Environment, Facilities & Utility Group of the Manufacturing Center's Manufacturing Planning Section will be raised a level and reorganized as the Environment, Facilities & Utility Division in order to further facilitate the development of the group's global business infrastructure and promote the efficient pursuit of environmental initiatives.

 

3. Consolidating and strengthening logistics functions
The Logistics & Security Trade Division and various logistics-related functions in procurement, manufacturing and marketing operations will be consolidated and reorganized under the Manufacturing Center's Manufacturing Planning Section with the aim of strengthening the global logistics network and accelerating the improvement of logistics quality and cost reduction.

 

The Logistics & Security Trade Division is transferred into the Manufacturing Center's Manufacturing Planning Section.

The logistics functions within the Body SyS Engineering Division of the Manufacturing Center's Body Manufacturing Section are transferred to the Logistics & Security Trade Division.

The logistics functions within the MC Assembly Factory of the Manufacturing Center's Body Manufacturing Section are transferred to the Logistics & Security Trade Division.

The logistics functions within the Procurement Center are transferred to the Logistics & Security Trade Division.
